The 35,000 square foot project, located on two floors, was designed to house a few of the Bonnier Corp publishing company’s magazines and related multimedia projects. After a complete gut of the demised area, a space was created to give the magazine publisher and filmmaker an atmosphere of creativity, comfort, and professionalism. A two story entry invites the visitors and employees into a space finished with walnut flooring, stacked stone walls, patterned gypsum panels, and a suspended ski gondola. A multi-media mac- daddy room, built-in dry hot tub/meeting area, lounge area that includes a suspended fireplace that opens to an al fresco patio, video game area with a kegerator all support the creative forces that are housed on the floor above. The common vocabulary of design elements consist of open ceilings, colorful polycarbonate wall panels, sliding barn doors, and color.
